Looking ahead to 2025, below is a breakdown of the key hair trends believed to dominate in 2025:
1. Retro Volume & Big Hair- 80s inspired volume is making a strong comeback! Think big, voluminous curls, textured waves, and teased roots. Hair is moving away from super sleek and flat, instead expect to see more full bodied styles. Perms will continue to rise in popularity, especially softer more natural looking waves.
2. Ultra Shiny, Glossy Hair- The “glass hair” trend isn’t going away. Sleek, super shiny locks that reflect light will still be big, whether worn in a bob, long and straight, or even in up dos. Expect to see more gloss treatments in salons and hair products focusing on shine enhancement.
3. Textured Bob- The bob remains popular, but 2025 will see more focus on texture, rather than precision cuts. Choppy, undone bobs that give an effortlessly cool vibe will be a statement look. Adding a slight wave or curl can give it more versatility.
4. Face-Framing Layers- 2025 will see a return to layers that accentuate facial features. These layers will be subtle but effective in softening the face and adding movement to the hair. The emphasis is on enhancing your natural features.
5. 90s Throwback Styles- The 90s nostalgia is continuing with styles like flipped out ends and chunky highlights. Expect more modern takes on Rachel Green inspired layered cuts or slicked back, wet looks.

8. Wet Look Hair – The wet look is evolving to become a party favourite, especially for sleek buns or slicked back short hair. This style can easily transition from day to night and gives an edgy, high fashion vibe while keeping things simple.
