Counter Culture, the rebellious Bristol-based kombucha brand known for its bold flavours and alternative energy is launching Try Dry® – a light and naturally tangy, citrus-packed organic kombucha drink designed to make going alcohol-free downright fun.

As the Official Kombucha of the Dry January® challenge by Alcohol Change UK, Counter Culture’s fizzingly-good range gives those participating a seriously exciting alternative to their usual booze. The product features a QR code, so that anyone taking a month off alcohol can download the Try Dry app by Alcohol Change. Using the Try Dry app for your Dry January challenge is proven to help you double your chances of achieving a full 31-days without alcohol, unlocking more of the benefits to your health, wellbeing, bank balance and more.

Forget super fruity mocktail juice and tasteless bubbles – Try Dry® is packed with flavour. With punchy yuzu, this citrus explosion is perfect for anyone craving something zesty and refreshing – whether moderating your alcohol consumption around friends or treating yourself to a delicious pick-me-up for a big night in.

Try Dry® isn’t just about great flavour either. Counter Culture’s partnership with Alcohol Change UK (the charity behind the Dry January Challenge®) is built on a shared mission – making the sober or sober curious not feel like they’re compromising on taste and most importantly, the fun.

Better yet, 5% of all sales from Try Dry® will go straight to Alcohol Change UK to support their vital work to tackle alcohol harm and help people in the UK and worldwide reset their relationship with alcohol. Counter Culture (the registered B Corp brand) puts its money where its mouth is and has already donated 51% of its shares to non-profits that matter to them. It’s this thinking that’s carved out their goal of raising £1million as an entrepreneurial donation to chosen charities. Helping others and doing your body some good – think of it as good karma in a can.

Founders Tom and Harry launched Counter Culture after spending several months alcohol-free, discovering that kombucha was a much more satisfying replacement than the usual alcohol-free options.

Replicating the act of drinking alcohol as closely as they could, it was this ‘aha!’ moment that led them to start brewing their own kombucha at home – eventually turning their passion into a brand that blends great taste with a purpose.

According to Alcohol Change UK, more than one in four (28%) / 15.5million people in the UK[1] / plan to go alcohol-free this January – and Counter Culture is here to make that journey even more delicious.
