New research analyzing popular aesthetic and plastic surgery treatments has predicted that lip flips are going to be huge next year, with thousands searching for the treatment monthly.
The research by the team at Certainly Health determined which treatments are likely to be on the rise in the New Year and beyond by analyzing monthly Google Search volume across the US.
Claiming the title as the most-searched-for aesthetic treatment was lip flips with 79,000 monthly searches. In recent years, lip flips have become highly desirable, not only because they are a cost-effective option compared to fillers but also because they give the lips a more defined and youthful look without the need for excessive fillers and can also contribute to a more balanced look.
Over the past few months, Masseter Botox has skyrocketed in popularity with 45,000 monthly searches, which meant it took second place on the list. In 2024, we’ve seen a big wave of people waking up to the benefits of botox beyond just wrinkle smoothing magic. Masseter botox is where it is injected into the masseter muscles on either side of the jaw to help reduce their activity like teeth grinding or jaw clenching that can cause discomfort. Beyond that, it can help those who seek facial harmony without the need for any invasive surgery.
Body contouring was also named among the most searched-for aesthetics, with 11,000 monthly searches. Gaining popularity over the past few years, body contouring is a cosmetic procedure aimed at enhancing the shape and appearance of the body by removing fat and tightening the skin to prevent skin sagging. Call it the Ozempic effect, but with more people losing weight in a completely new way, there is more concern over the possibility of skin sagging and people wanting to correct this through aesthetic treatment.
A trend that has also gained momentum quickly over the past few years is more holistic treatments and therapies that have quick recovery and are minimally invasive. As a result, more people are now opting for PRF treatments, which has 6,800 monthly searches across the US. Used with microneedling, PRF therapy can help improve the skin’s quality, which will give you a younger-looking glow by triggering renewal of cells and the production of collagen.
