Beyonce unveils ‘COWBOY CARTER’ album cover and style experts at online jewellery brand PRYA predict a huge surge in the ‘Cowboy Core’ aesthetic following the initial spike after act I was released in Summer 2022.

‘Cowboy Carter’ brings the rodeo to ‘Renaissance’ and it started with a Western-style Grammy’s outfit, a Superbowl 2024 ‘fit with a bolo tie and the hugely anticipated album cover that was released yesterday (19th March 2024).

On the album cover, Beyonce is wearing a red, white and blue outfit complete with a “Cowboy Carter” sash and a white cowboy hat. Arwa Hassan, in-house style director at PRYA is now predicting a huge surge in the ‘Cowboy Core’ aesthetic.

Cowboy Core

According to research by PRYA, in the last 24 hours searches for ‘beige cowboy hat’ increased by over 5,000%, searches for ‘leather cowboy hat’ and ‘denim cowboy hat’ by 250%‘cowboy chaps’ by 150% and ‘cowboy carter release date’ by 120%.

Arwa said, “‘Cowboy Core’ has made its way into popular culture, inspired by elements of traditional cowboy attire and Western wear. The cowboy aesthetic is having a major fashion moment from Gen Z TikTok fashion overs to Beyonce’s “Beyhive” and we predict it will be one of the biggest fashion trends for 2024. Think cowboy boots, denim jeans, fringe jackets and cowboy boots. In fact, if you go to a Beyonce concert or club night and you’re not wearing a cowboy hat you will be in the minority!

“To jump on this trend, we’d recommend investing in a classic pair of cowboy boots, choose leather or suede in neutral tones like beige or black that can easily pair with various outfits. Opt for denim jeans or denim skirts with a rugged, worn-in look and choose styles with straight or bootcut legs for a nod to classic cowboy attire. You can add layers with denim or fringe jackets.

Cowboy Core

“It wouldn’t be a Beyonce inspired trend without the accessories, think cowboy hats, bolo ties and statement jewellery pieces – she’s been spotted in statement earrings and rings. In her Valentines Day lace ‘cowboy core’ look Beyonce accessorised with a gorgeous turquoise ring and jewellery stamped onto her nails – turquoise is a quintessential stone in Western jewellery and adds a pop of colour to your outfit. Pair a bunch of stackable rings with statement hoop earrings or a bolo tie and you’re good to go!

Beyonce isn’t the only celebrity embracing Cowboy Core, with celebrities like Harry Styles, Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Dua Lipa spotted in the aesthetic.
