Missed the Arctic Monkeys? Enjoy the Arctic Donkeys at this year’s SarkFest 

Missed out on the Arctic Monkeys? Fear not, as SarkFest is back for a weekend of folk, rock, ska, reggae, blues and acoustic bands on 7 to 9 July 2023. Featuring more than 30 bands and artists from Guernsey, Jersey and the UK, SarkFest offers multiple stages for live music, children’s entertainers, craft stalls, food tents, a main bar and an even bigger Pimms & Wine bar.

Arctic Monkeys tribute band, Arctic Donkeys, will be performing on the Dixcart Main Stage on the Friday of the festival and promise to bring all the band’s most popular songs to the small island of Sark!

Nestled in between Guernsey and Jersey, Sark is the crown jewel of the Channel Islands, offerings spectacular scenery, sheltered bays, coastal paths and dramatic cliff top views. Just a five-kilometre-squared piece of land, Sark is remote and car-free, meaning all transport is done on foot, cycling or via horse and carriage. With no streetlights to pollute the skies, Sark was declared the World’s First Dark Sky Island in 2011 which means festivalgoers can witness the beauty of the night sky and its constellations after a fun-filled day of music, food and entertainment.

How to get there 

With flight times from UK as little as 40 minutes and ferry sailings from three hours, visitors can opt to take the ferry over the Channel from Poole or Portsmouth or fly directly from the UK with Aurigny airlines. Aurigny operate year-round direct flights to Guernsey from London, East Midlands, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Dublin. Condor Ferries operate slow and fast ferries from Poole and Portsmouth to Guernsey year-round. Ferries depart from Guernsey’s St. Peter Port to Sark and Herm multiple times each day throughout the summer.
