Bank holiday Sunday: Padstow Kitchen Garden’s legendary Lobster lunch…
Share
Padstow Kitchen Garden in Cornwall is not letting the weather dampen its spirits and is looking forward to hosting upcoming events which celebrate its farm-to-fork ethos.
Back by popular demand, PKG’s Lobster Lunch takes place on Sunday 27th August at 1pm. Chef and veg gardener, Ross Geach has teamed up with friend and local fisherman Jonny Murt to provide premium Padstow lobsters, cooked over fire and served alongside seasonal produce from the farm.

Ross has curated a seasonal menu showcasing all the produce grown at Padstow Kitchen Garden, with fresh salad and veg from the farm crowned as the hero ingredients. The feasts are served banquet-style, on a long table in the field (or if it’s wet and windy, inside the polytunnel surrounded by padron pepper and tomato plants). Whatever the weather, guests are invited to feast while enjoying breathtaking views across the Camel Estuary.
Enjoy a drink from local distillery, Tarquin’s, before sitting down at 1:30pm to enjoy four delicious courses, cooked over fire using the Big Green Egg and OFYR fire pit which impart delicious, smoky flavours to perfectly complement the dishes.
Here’s what you can expect on the menu (subject to availability)
- Padron Peppers
- Courgette flowers a la plancha stuffed with sausage and wild fennel
- Whole Padstow Lobster served with a herby beurre noisette, edible flowers, new potatoes and garden salad
- Lemon Verbena dessert (tbc)
Tickets are £70 per person and it’s BYO, so choose your favourite bottle of wine and join Ross and the team for a leisurely lunch with a beautiful view.
