Eilat, Israel’s southernmost city, has presented a landmark sunscreen, Reef Relief, that aims to address the issue of coral bleaching caused by chemicals in sunscreens.
Many sunscreens on the market contain harmful chemicals like oxybenzone, which have contributed to the damage inflicted on coral reefs.
Recognising the importance of coral reefs and the role they play in marine ecosystems, Reef Relief provides a solution that not only protects the skin from UV rays but also nourishes and revitalizes fading reefs.
As well as containing no toxic chemicals, Reef Relief is made up by a bespoke blend of FDA-approved trace minerals that revitalises fading reefs. The lotion has gone through extensive sea life testing and is Ecocert compliant.
