What is glycolic acid?
The skincare experts at Cult Beauty say that glycolic acid works to exfoliate the skin by dissolving dead skin cells and oils. It also helps to clear pores, smooths lines, fade dark patches and hydrate the skin for a more youthful appearance.
Glycolic acid belongs to a group of acids called AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), that are popular in many skincare ingredients. Out of all the AHAs, glycolic acid has the smallest molecular structure which penetrates deeper into the skin.
